“READY, SET, LEARN” PRESCHOOL EVENT
The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, and the Ministry of Health Services has sponsored an Early Childhood Initiative called “Ready, Set, Learn.” This initiative provides an opportunity for elementary schools offering Kindergarten to partner with community-based early childhood service providers to influence school readiness for children. “Ready, Set, Learn” is geared for families with 3 year olds. However, Thornhill Primary has decided to include 4 year olds since they will be attending school next year.
Session will include a craft activity for the children in our Kindergarten RoomParents will be provided with information that can help prepare their children for school
A free age appropriate book to take home
Refreshments will be provided for the children
This will be a very valuable activity for families of preschool children. If you have a 3 or 4 year old, please try to attend this event with your child. To help us prepare for the event, have the right number of free learning kits available, and sufficient refreshments please contact the school to let the principal know if you are able to come (School Phone Number: 250 635-7066).
